Since I learned just a tiny bit about my camera I've been wanting the 50mm either 1.8 or 1.4 lens. There is a huge price difference between the two and of course it would be ideal to have the 1.4 but I'd easily settle for the 1.8. (Yeah, I know the image above shows a 1.2 also)

I hear such good things about both. I am saving for the 1.4 currently.
go for the 1.4, dont settle for the 1.8, it's sooo worth it!

PS. sold it all on craigslist. that site rules in SF, people use it like crazy people.
Panic, the pictures I've seen with the 50mm are such a quality that can't be captured in some other lens, it's amazing!
